Protean Terrarium Design

Terrariums are individually made and will not be manufactured until paid in full.  Terrariums are only refundable within the first 48 hours of ordering.  Anything after is not refundable.  Terrariums take between 2-6 weeks to manufacture depending our current orders.  Terrariums may take up to 12 weeks from initial ordering to final product ready to be shipped.  Depending on the quantity of your order, it may take longer to manufacture.

All custom terrariums must be paid in full before manufacturing begins.   Custom terrariums are non refundable, these are made specific to your dimensions and Protean Terrarium Design will not be held responsible for attempting to sell your custom terrarium should you change your mind in purchasing from us.

Breakage – if a terrarium is broken during transit to your location from ours, a replacement will be provided if photo proof is shown. Customers must file a claim immediately upon discovery of a broken terrarium. If a claim is not filed with the carrier and a photo of the damaged unit is not provided, we will not replace the broken unit. All replacement terrariums will be shipped upon the claim being settled and once settlement payment has been forwarded.

Shipping

All terrariums must be shipped if local pick is not possible.  Shipping will be at the customers expense and not Protean Terrarium Design’s.  Shipping is either through Greyhound Package Xpress or through a truck line.  All individual terrarium orders will be shipped through the Greyhound Package Xpress.  All terrariums larger than 48 x 24 x 36 or quantity orders will be shipped via truck line.  We schedule all of our quantity and oversized terrariums through a freight broker to provide the most affordable method and coordinate all shipping arrangements, we will have our freight broker bill you directly for the shipping.

Animal Purchases

Animal purchases are nonrefundable due to customer changing their minds or for finding the animals for a lesser price from another dealer. Deposits on animal orders are non refundable. Deposits on invoices for animals sent via google checkout will be listed as “XXX of YYY for this species.” Example – “$200 of $500 for 2.2 uroplatus phantasticus.” Deposits on pre-ordered animals for imports are not refundable.

We offer no live arrival on animals shipped above 85 degrees Fahrenheit or below 45 degree Fahrenheit. Dead On Arrival animals must be photographed on their back side and on their stomach. At our discretion we may require the animal to have its stomach slit open clearly showing it is dead and not cold and laying on its back. All DOA animals will not be refunded but given credit at Protean Terrarium Design.

Lastly, we do not offer refunds on animals or terrariums due to personal issues in our customers lives. If we custom manufacture or set aside animals based on a pre-order, it is your responsibility to pay for said animals or terrariums. We have taken the time to custom manufacture or set aside a specific lot of animals you have agreed to pay for and not offer them to others. By paying a google checkout invoice, you have agreed to these terms.
